I would like to share my journey in this profession I ultimately chosen since I have heard that three-letter title. I know my story is just like any other story, a typical one, had my fair share of struggles and successes, not that easy of course, and nothing much of extraordinary items but as you say that Batch 2015 is special, and so it is to me. Why???

Exactly two years ago, I graduated in March. I reviewed for five months na minsan focus minsan lost, minsan early lumalabas sa review center para manood ng movie with besh or window shopping, minsan nag-aaral pero mas maraming days hindi talaga. Pramis, hahaha. I took the board on October not so well-prepared, and I aimed for one shot to pass because if not, I don't know exactly how I'll be able to have another opportunity because the last thing I wanted to do is to be a burden to the people around me on their expense to finance again another review cause, once and for all, I am a scholar and so who am I to put this chance to waste, right? And maybe this could be the start of so many doubts if I'm on this path.

If I'll going to rank myself, I can say: average lang (nga kung indi magtuon ti nganga sa quiz kag exam, pero biskan gani nakatuon to the point of memorizing solutions and the letters if you know what I mean? Plus pa minsan2 may konting ninja moves alams na ahahaha).  [iCPA Translation: that if i don't study, I can't answer the quizzes and exams; but it's still the same even if I study to the point of memorizing solutions and the letters, if you know what I mean? Plus, from time to time, I do have some ninja moves.]

So to make the story short, I am blessed, very much blessed to pass my first take, but you know what's more amazing? When I saw my rating it was FLAT 75.00 weeew! Tears flew and my hands were shaking (goosebumps every time I tell this). One wrong move and I wouldn't be where I am today. And so it was God's plan for me and divine intervention, too. Miracles do happen, everyday, they really do!

Indeed, I can confidently say that I was destined to become one through His grace, that that title is really for me because I happened to be the breadwinner now of our family. It's my time to support them in any way I can and I can't complain because I prayed for that.

And as my way to give back and share His blessings, I accepted the opportunity to be in the academe until now, and I couldn't be happier to inspire and make students realized that they too can become and will be one in His own perfect time. Hold on to God's promises, as He says in Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." He never fails. Kung sa tingin mo maswerte ka, higit pa roon kasi sadyang pinagpala ka talaga. :)

Welcome to the profession new CPAs! Godbless us all in every endeavor and let's continue inspiring and be an instrument to others' dreams and prayers. And for those who will not make it this time, tiwala lang, fighting, laban puso! Hindi naman nakalagay sa pangalan, CPA (1,2,3...) kung ilang beses kang umulit diba? Ibig sabihin nun, itinakda ka talaga kasi matapang ka. Because it only takes a brave heart to have that courage of taking the board exam, doon pa lang panalo ka na!

Thank you sa time and hope it's worth reading, hehe. Godbless everyone! Enjoy the ride, it's worth everything.

    Sincerely yours,

    Christine May J. Roncales, CPA
